When I hit "OK" it goes to Primary portrait when the screen has not be flipped to a tablet position.
With the screen rotation tool set so that in laptop mode it is in primary landscape and tablet mode in primary portrait.
In the BIOS, the Toughscreen Mode is set to auto (so it can go to tough screen mode and to tablet mode automatically), but the current status is always tablet mode even though I am using it was a laptop. For example, Ctrl+Alt+Up Arrow returns your screen to its normal upright rotation, Ctrl+Alt+Right Arrow rotates your screen 90 degrees, Ctrl+Alt+Down Arrow flips it upside down (180 degrees), and Ctrl+Alt+Left Arrow rotates it 270 degrees. To flip or rotate the screen, you can open Display.
I have used a restoration DVD (CF-K19A405) that I have recently bought from HartlandSI because this Toughbook did not come with its DVD. To rotate your screen with hotkeys, press Ctrl+Alt+Arrow. Windows supports many kinds of displays, so theres a feature that lets you rotate or flip the screen on Windows in any of four directions. The screen will not auto rotate when I flip the screen around, but the tablet buttons/hotkeys work fine. In case you have the rotated monitor problem, just follow these steps below -Right Click on the monitor, to click on Graphics properties.
I have a problem with my Panasonic Toughbook cf19 mk4 CF-19TSB14 (CF-19WJF7A1M in the BIOS). But it is different with Windows 8 laptop but at least I followed your information but in a different way that applied with this windows. Basically, in all previous versions of Windows the ClearType rendering is not adjusted when you rotate the screen, so it no longer matches the physical orientation of the sub-pixels. Hello this is my first post on the forum. The blog post on screen orientation reminded me about a long-standing issue I have with ClearType on rotated screens.
